John and I had the most wonderful three weeks in Paris, due in large part to your comfortable apartment and the lovely “village” of Auteuil. We rode the 72 bus every day and were happy to escape the rush of people in the city and relax in your little abode. And I just loved the quartier. Especially at Christmas time it seemed so lovely and full of energetic people doing their errands. And how about that Wed. and Sat. market? Honestly, how could anyone shopping there not want to rush home with their goodies and cook a fantastic meal? We also very much enjoyed the Gauntier bakery, just around the corner. John had the lady with the red frizzy hair smiling at him on our last visit; our son, Rolf, who biked there every morning to buy what he considered to be the best baguette in Paris when he lived in Paris last year, was sure she had never smiled in her life. Our visit was probably the best one ever due in no small part to the apartment and its location. I'm very afraid you've spoiled us forever. John was even talking about moving there. Don't think that will happen at this stage of our lives. But I do hope we can spend some more time in Paris and in your apartment. We will certainly spread the word of your place to our friends.

"Am putting the keys in the mail today to you…just wanted you to know what a terrific time we had in Paris, particularly at your apartment. The pictures just don’t do it justice! They can’t convey the wonderful feeling of space, the high ceilings and the nice light that pervades it all. It was quiet, well located, right near public transportation and shops…when we didn’t go out to dinner, we cooked up a storm in your kitchen (and marveled at all the gadgets and cookware we found). We loved the bed and the little study area. We particularly liked the fact that there were no other Americans around the neighborhood, or other foreigners that we could tell. We heard only French around us, an experience we were longing to have. We were charmed with Auteuil and would like very much to go back again. We took that architectural tour you mentioned in your neighborhood based on Guimard and Le Corbusier—wonderful! You’ll be hearing from us again!!"

"I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed having access to your apartment. Its size, accoutrements, location, neighborhood, and proximity to everything were all wonderful dividends and of far more value than I had anticipated. The building itself was superb and I felt immediately at home inside and out. Bluntly, it is perfect and I commend you for having the determination to find it, the audacity to acquire it and the intelligence to retain it. Having written a small book about my adventures, I will not take the time to write in your guest book, but if you ever need a recommendation you may be assured that mine will be over the top. When my daughter came and visited me from Brussels, she fell in the love with the apartment and very nearly decided to quit her job and live there! I have put together some notes for my own benefit and will share them with you once completed although I’ve noted below my comments about the restaurants in Auteuil, and will be in touch after I get back to Tampa and decompress for a day or so. Please pencil me in for next April and I will confirm shortly."

"We came back yesterday after a wonderful thirty days in your great city. The apartment worked out beautifully. I was no more than three feet into the wide front hall with the mirrored walls when I knew I'd be happy there. We were comfortable, found everything we needed (and more), and kept congratulating ourselves for having stumbled upon your ad in the Yale Alumni Magazine. We would be pleased to talk with any of your prospective clients; in fact, we’ve already spoken with several friends of ours around here, so expect some phone calls. We loved that stunning bus ride along the Seine on the #72, and made good use of our carte orange on both the metro and the busses (both very convenient to the apartment.) We shopped frequently at that wonderful Auteuil outdoor market where the fruit man we often purchased from helped us pronounce “pruneaux” properly, squeezing our mouth into a tiny little ball and having a great laugh while we were at it. We found excellent restaurants in the area and across the bridge in the 15th. The gardien, Kristof, was very friendly and speaks excellent English. Thanks for your help ... your organizational skills made life a lot easier in the apartment."
